Washington Court House City Schools said today that they are working to feed students during the newly-announced three week break.
The break, which begins Monday and goes for the next three weeks, was ordered statewide by the Governor in an attempt to combat the Coronavirus.
”Over the past few weeks, we have been proactively working with the state and U.S. Department of Agriculture on a plan to provide meals to our students during this extended closure,” said district spokesman Trevor Patton. “We appreciate your patience as we work with the state and federal government to approve a plan to operate an emergency food service program during this time. We know that many of our students rely on meals at school for their nutrition, so we are working hard to get this moving as quickly as possible.”
Patton added, “However, know that one way or another, in some form or fashion, the Big Blue Bus WILL be hitting the road soon and feeding the kids of our community.”
