A man has died and ten people were injured after a three-car crash near Bainbridge on Sunday.
Troopers said that a 2021 Chevrolet Cruze driven by Leland Brown, 58, Chillicothe, was on route 50 outside of the village at around 5 p.m., when he allegedly traveled left-of-center and hit a pickup. The pickup truck driver, David Matthews, 26, Bainbridge, was hit head-on. Brown continued in the wrong direction and hit another car being driven by Earl Dennewitz, 55, also of Bainbridge.
Matthews and his passengers, Sarah Matthews, 36, and four juveniles, all from Bainbridge, were transported to Adena Regional Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries. Dennewitz and his passengers, Patricia Dennewitz, 49, Callie Dennewitz, 20, and Mona Roberts, 57, all from Bainbridge, were transported to Adena Regional Medical Center for their injuries.
Brown succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
