An accident closed route 23 in Pickaway County Saturday night.
It all stemmed from an accident involving a military bus and a van, northbound near North Court Street.
The Sheriff’s office sent out an advisory that Highway 23 northbound would be closed for the crash. Drivers were using route Island Road as a detour.
There was at least one person that was transported to the hospital from the van. The approximate-30 marines on the bus were not injured. Multiple medics and firefighters were on scene, as well as deputies and state patrolmen assessing others involved. No names have been released.
Capital Towing is coming to remove the bus that was involved in the accident. Another bus will be sent to the area to transport for the military men and women who were not injured in this crash.
The military men and women are out of Fort Pricket, Virginia and were heading to Rickenbacker.
