GREENFIELD, Ohio — McClain Tigers head football coach Jake Orr-Zody will not be coaching the Tigers in tonight’s home game against the Miami Trace Panthers, The Highland County Press reported.
According to the Press, Greenfield Exempted Village Schools Superintendent Quincey Gray said assistant coach Keith Penwell will be fulfilling the head coaching duties tonight. Gray would not comment on Orr-Zody’s status, citing personnel matters.
Highland County Sheriff Donnie Barrera told the Guardian that an investigation was launched into allegations against the coach, but that “nothing criminal came of it” and the case was closed. The Sheriff would not comment on what the allegations were. Barrera said the matter is in the school administration’s hands.
Orr-Zody is in his fourth season as McClain football coach, according to the Press.
