WILMINGTON, Ohio — The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma, has placed the Scioto Valley under the threat of severe weather Friday.

Meteorologists say a cold front will pass through the area, bringing the chance for showers and storms during the day.

Damaging winds, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, will be the primary threat.
