LANCASTER, Ohio — The South Central Power Company announced Monday afternoon that most homes remaining without power in Ross County should be restored by Tuesday afternoon.
Nearly 234 homes in Ross County are still in the dark following last week’s devastating ice storm.
The power company said nearly 20,000 homes went dark as a result of the ice.
Other counties in the area are also dealing with remaining outages.
South Central Power reports that nearly 200 homes in Highland County and over 3,200 in Hocking County await restoration.
According to South Central Power, crews have worked around the clock to restore electrical services to area residents who have struggled to stay warm in the frigid winter conditions.
