ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — The Ross County Sheriff’s Office was involved in a high-speed pursuit Friday morning.
According to initial reports, the deputies were chasing a vehicle around 7:45 a.m.
The driver of the vehicle, according to dispatchers, went off the roadway, crashing into Paint Creek near the Paint Valley Local Schools in Bainbridge.
Additional units including a rescue crew from Bainbridge were requested to the scene.
Shortly before 8 a.m., deputies were able to rescue the man from Paint Creek and took him into custody.
Officials at the time of this publication did not release any details as to why the man fled. The incident remains under investigation.
