PALM BEACH, Florida — FBI agents raided the Florida home of former President Donald Trump on Monday evening.
Those close to Trump told the national press that the search was centered around documents the former president allegedly had at his residence.
In a statement released, Trump, who was not at Mar-a-lago at the time of the raid, scorned the FBI for the search. “They even broke into my safe,” said Trump.
The United States Department of Justice has not released any details surrounding the search.
No further details were immediately available.
