WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE, Ohio — The Egalitarian Book Club, a group in Fayette County, is hosting a book signing and discussion with author David Pepper later this month.
On February 24, the group will lead a discussion of Pepper’s “Laboratories of Autocracy,” a cautionary dialogue of how state legislatures, often ignored, play a significant role in deciding our constitutional rights. There will be a traditional author event and book signing featuring Pepper’s political thrillers. There will be an author reading, a question-and-answer session, and a book signing. Light refreshments will be provided. The event is free and open to the public at the Carnegie Public Library in Washington Court House from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Pepper is a lawyer, writer, political activist, former elected official, and adjunct professor. He served as chairman of the Ohio Democratic Party from 2015-21. Pepper is the author of four novels integrating real-world politics and fiction. He also teaches election and voting rights law as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Cincinnati College of Law; he is a graduate of Yale Law and specializes in election and voting litigation across Ohio.
Books will be available for purchase at the signing, but you may have one shipped to your house in advance from Amazon by clicking here.
