COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Department of Health (ODH) will host a press conference on childhood immunizations and other back-to-school health topics today at 11 a.m.
The press conference will be held at the ODH headquarters in Columbus and will be livestreamed on their YouTube channel.
Speakers at the press conference will include:
• Bruce Vanderhoff, MD, MBA, director of the ODH
• Sara M. Bode, MD, primary-care pediatrician and medical director of Nationwide Children’s Hospital’s School-Based Health Services
• Douglas Harley, DO, FAAFP, president of the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians
The speakers will discuss the importance of childhood immunizations, the recommended immunization schedule for children, and how to get your child vaccinated. They will also discuss other back-to-school health topics, such as how to prevent the spread of respiratory illnesses.
