CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Ross-Chillicothe Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) has officially opened the nomination period for its esteemed Pineapple Awards, an annual celebration recognizing excellence within the Ross County tourism industry.
The Pineapple Awards, known as a symbol of hospitality, aim to spotlight individuals who have demonstrated outstanding commitment, dedication, and contributions to the local tourism sector. This cherished tradition by the Ross-Chillicothe CVB serves as a platform to acknowledge those who have gone above and beyond, ensuring visitors have a memorable experience.
Nominations are now being accepted across various categories, including Volunteer of the Year, Frontline Associate of the Year, Behind the Scenes Associate of the Year, and Manager of the Year. Any individual can submit a nomination, honoring those who have exhibited exceptional excellence in serving guests and customers.
In addition to these categories, the Bureau will present the annual Grand Pineapple Award to an individual or group that has collaborated significantly with the Bureau throughout the year, showcasing a steadfast commitment to increasing awareness and fostering the success of tourism in Ross County.
The deadline for Pineapple Award nominations is set for 3:00 pm on March 15, 2024. Nomination forms are available on the Bureau’s website, VisitChillicotheOhio.com, accessible through the “About” section in the “Tourism Banquet” link. Physical copies of the nomination form can also be picked up at the Bureau’s office, located at 230 N. Plaza Blvd.
The culmination of this recognition will take place during the annual Tourism Banquet in May, serving as the local kick-off event to celebrate National Travel & Tourism Week. The Pineapple Awards will be bestowed upon deserving recipients, acknowledging their pivotal role in enhancing the tourism landscape of Ross County.
