MEIGS COUNTY, Ohio — On Wednesday the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office received information regarding a possible threat at a Meigs County High School.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the threat was made on Tuesday and was directed toward one particular student.
Officials said they wanted to clarify the situation with the public and reiterated the threat was not against the school.
Deputies, reports stated, spoke with the individual who was alleged to have made the threat. The student was told, according to a law enforcement representative, that they could not to return to school until further notice.
The Meigs County Sheriff’s Office told officials at the Meigs Local School District that they will continue to work closely with them regarding the incident.
