MEIGS COUNTY, Ohio — Meigs County Deputies were kept on their toes throughout the day as they responded to various incidents across the county.
At 5:18 AM, deputies attended to a non-injury accident on SR 124 near Titus Rd in Langsville. Following standard procedures, deputies gathered necessary information from the drivers involved for a crash report.
A follow-up investigation took place at 9:22 AM on SR 7 in Cheshire, while at 10:43 AM, deputies responded to a complaint of a female causing disturbances on SR 681 in Albany. After arriving at the scene, deputies facilitated a resolution by allowing the female to collect personal belongings with the understanding she would not return to the property.
At 12:22 PM, a well-being check of a juvenile male on Pomeroy Pike in Pomeroy occurred. Deputies engaged with the juvenile and his mother, taking their statements for a report before resolving the situation.
Throughout the afternoon, deputies conducted several traffic stops, issuing verbal warnings for various violations. These stops included incidents at 3:00 PM on SR 7 near SR 248 in Chester, at 3:11 PM on Larkin St in Rutland for speed, at 4:43 PM on SR 833 near Pomeroy Pike in Pomeroy for an obstructed license plate, at 7:00 PM on SR 7 near E Park Dr in Reedsville for speed, at 7:06 PM on Bald-Knob Stiversville Rd in Long Bottom, and at 7:26 PM on SR 7 near Success Rd in Reedsville for speed.
As the day progressed, at 8:59 PM, deputies executed a search warrant on S 2nd Ave in Middleport. Further details regarding this operation are expected to be released in a special news release.
