CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Chillicothe Police Department is investigating a case of alleged medication theft by a nurse at a local assisted living facility. Authorities responded to a call from 142 University Drive, where they were informed by the Executive Director of National Church Residences, Johnathan Harrison, that a nurse had been suspended on suspicion of stealing pain medication.
The incident, discovered around 3 PM on June 6, involved the nurse allegedly checking out medication for residents but not administering it. The type and quantity of the stolen medication are still under investigation. In response to the theft, the facility said they reached out to the Ohio Department of Nursing Board.
The identity of the nurse in question has not been disclosed by the police.
