Initial Narrative: On 07/09/2024 at approx. 10:32 AM, I was dispatched to the area of 710 Orange Street on a broke down trailer with flat wheels. Upon arrival, I noted a black makeshift trailer with several flat tires, parked in front of 706 Orange Street. I relayed a license plate of SXU1559 to dispatch. The license plate was expired since 2022 and the owner lived at 841 Sherman St. I then went to said address to make contact, but no one answered. Upon returning to the trailer, I asked dispatch to send me a tow truck to my location for the trailer since no contact could be made. Dispatch told me that they also had tried to call the number on file but no one answered. Penwell Towing retrieved the vehicle.

Initial Narrative: While sitting stationary facing eastbound in the alley beside 178 N Bridge St I observed a red truck traveling southbound on Bridge St. As the vehicle passed by, I noted the male driving was holding his cell phone with his right hand near the steering wheel. I activated my overhead lights and initiated a traffic stop in the area of Bridge and 2nd St. Upon approach, I made contact with driver Sheldon Tyler who stated he was texting his boss. Sheldon was issued Citation #53316 for Texting While Driving, he was provided with his copy and advised of 07/22/2024 9:00 AM court date. Sheldon was highly agitated.
