SOUTH BLOOMFIELD, Ohio — The South Bloomfield Summer Market will close out its season with a Halloween-themed market Saturday, Oct. 3, featuring more than 50 vendors, three food trucks and a trunk-or-treat-style event for children, according to the Village of South Bloomfield.
The market runs from 5 to 8 p.m. at Marvin Webster Park, 5000 Park Place, the village said in a Facebook post.
Vendors will sell pumpkins, plants, baked goods, farm-fresh eggs, beef and pork, maple syrup, wood crafts, crochet, resin and glass art, and Halloween-themed crafts, among other goods, according to the post. Vendors will decorate their booths for a contest voted on by shoppers and will hand out treats to children as part of the market’s trunk-or-treat theme. April Peck of the Peck Realtor Network will hand out free market bags to shoppers and free trick-or-treat bags to the first 30 children, the village said.
Three food trucks — Smokin O’s BBQ, Lil Sweet’s Mini Donuts and Holy Pop — will serve barbecue, doughnuts and other food and drink, according to the post.
Entertainment will include music from Roundtown Radio, free cookie decorating from Coca Crafts, bounce houses from Business of Bounce and a stuffed-animal-building station from Fluff Co., which is donating half of its proceeds from the market to the event, the village said.
The market shifted to a Saturday-morning schedule in September after an earlier season finale was postponed by rain in August, and Saturday’s Halloween market will mark its final date of the year.
