LYNCHBURG, Ohio — The Lynchburg Area Joint Fire and Ambulance District will host a fish fry fundraiser dinner Friday, Oct. 16, offering both dine-in and drive-thru service from 3 to 8 p.m., the district said in a Facebook post.

The dinner will be held at the district’s main station, 8123 State Route 135 in Lynchburg. Kids dinners are $6, and an adult fish dinner is $10. Adult shrimp dinners and combination fish-and-shrimp dinners are also available, the district said.

The Lynchburg Area Joint Fire and Ambulance District provides fire protection, emergency medical and rescue services to Union, Salem, Dodson and Hamer townships and the village of Lynchburg in Highland County. The district is governed by a six-member board of trustees, with one representative from each member township and the village and one member appointed at large. It is staffed largely by volunteers, with some career personnel, and operates out of three stations.

The fish fry is the latest in a string of community events the district has put on this year, following a Water Day event and a Touch a Truck event over the summer. Proceeds from the fundraiser benefit the district.
