CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Chillicothe will formally dedicate its new amphitheater in Yoctangee Park with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, the city announced in a social media event posting.
The ceremony will be held at the Chillicothe Amphitheater inside the park, with public tours of the new venue to follow immediately after, according to the city.

The amphitheater includes a covered performance shell, spacious turf seating areas, ADA accessibility, extensive electrical capacity to support festivals and other programming, and nearby restrooms, the city has said.
The venue is one of the signature pieces of a roughly $35 million renovation of Yoctangee Park funded through Ohio’s Appalachian Community Grant Program, which draws on federal American Rescue Plan Act dollars distributed through the Governor’s Office of Appalachia and the Ohio Department of Development. That project has also delivered a repaved Enderlin Circle, a new multiuse pavilion, renovations to the historic Chillicothe Armory, six new pickleball courts, a resurfaced tennis complex and a new roundabout at Mill Street and Yoctangee Parkway.
