ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — Two medical helicopters were called to the scene of a serious crash on Moss Hollow Road.

According to initial reports, the accident occurred around 7:30 p.m. in Ross County.

EMS on the scene reported multiple serious injuries. The Guardian has received unconfirmed reports that a young child was involved in the crash. The child, according to initial reports was taken to Adena Regional Medical Center.

The Ohio Department of Transportation reported that parts of route 23 near Massieville Road were temporarily closed in order for authorities to set up a landing zone. Motorists are encouraged to find an alternative route.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. The names of those involved and the extent of any injuries were not immediately released.
