CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Chillicothe Police Department is investigating an early morning stabbing at 154 Race Street.
According to initial reports, two male subjects were engaged in an altercation at a residence when one of the men pulled a knife, stabbing the other.
Chillicothe Police responded to the scene and located the victim who, according to residents, was bleeding profusely from the stab wound. The victim, according to witnesses, was taken by EMS to the hospital. His current condition was not immediately released.

Reports say the other man was brought in for questioning by police detectives and then released. No arrests have been made in the incident. The exact circumstances behind the altercation were not released.
A witness to the incident told the Guardian that he believed the stabbing was in self-defense.
Authorities say the case remains under investigation.
