ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — Ross County Sheriff Deputies responded to a call Saturday of an altercation involving a large machete.
Deputies went to 2121 Western Avenue on a reported fight. The caller said that another woman had assaulted her but was able to get away without serious injury.
The victim told law enforcement that the attacker, later identified as Sabra Morris-Overly, 21, tried slashing her with a large machete.
Deputies were able to view surveillance footage, reports say, and confirmed the victim’s story.
Overly was taken into custody by the Ross County Sheriff’s Office and is in jail pending arraignment. Officials said, Overly was charged with aggravated menacing, assault, and felonious assault because of the machete attack.
The incident, authorities say, remains under investigation, and no further details were immediately available.
