CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Two separate fires had city fire crews busy early Sunday morning.
The first fire occurred in the 100 block of East Second Street near the county health department. The two-story house had smoke billowing when crews arrived. A ladder truck was called to help reach the second floor of the home.
The cause of the fire was not immediately released.
Also on Sunday morning, city crews responded to a garage fire around the corner on Water Street between Mulberry and Hickory streets. The wooden roof two-bay garage was completely destroyed. How the blaze ignited was not released.
Both fires remain under investigation.
