ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — On Tuesday morning, deputies with the Ross County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Pickaway-Ross Career and Technology Center for a threat complaint.
Reports said deputies arrived at the school, located on Crouse Chapel Road, and spoke with school officials regarding the incident.
In a statement released by Superintendent Jonathan Davis to the Guardian, he said, “we were informed of comments made by a student regarding school safety, and our team immediately contacted the Ross County Sheriff’s Office.”
Superintendent Davis would not elaborate on the exact nature of the threat, only that the school was not placed on lockdown and the student in question was immediately sent home.
“We will continue to work with local law enforcement regarding next steps and discipline,” said Davis.
Officials say the case remains under investigation.
No further details were immediately released.
