CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Authorities in Ross County are investigating a late night shooting after a report of a burglary.
It happened in the area of 141 North Sugar Street in Chillicothe at around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday night. Paramedics were sent to the area after police were called to the home for a burglary-in-progress. When they arrived they found a woman had been shot, according to a media release from the police department.
Law enforcement would not release who the woman was, how she was connected to the situation, or how she was shot. The Guardian was not able to independently verify how the shooting occurred.
Messages left with law enforcement were not immediately returned.
