ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — Residents of Ohio have until October 10 to register for the upcoming general election set for November 7. Starting October 11, early voting will be available.

Items to be voted on include:
- State Issue 1 regarding a potential change in the constitution related to reproductive rights.
- State Issue 2 which proposes the legalization of recreational marijuana.
- Local leadership roles and matters in numerous areas.
Mail-In Voting in Ohio:
- Applications for absentee ballots should be at the election boards by 8:30 p.m. on October 31.
- Completed absentee ballots should arrive at election boards by 7:30 p.m. on November 7. They cannot be submitted at polling stations on the day but can be handed in at county board offices.
- If mailing back, absentee ballots should have a November 6 postmark and must be received by November 13 for inclusion.
Early In-Person Voting:
Residents can vote early using absentee ballots at designated election offices and centers. A recent legislative change requires a photo ID for in-person voting, either during early voting or on the election day. For mail voting, a photo ID copy, driver’s license number, or the last four numbers of the Social Security are accepted.
State-provided IDs can be obtained at local Bureau of Motor Vehicles branches. Further details at bmv.ohio.gov.
On November 7, polling stations will open at 6:30 a.m. and conclude at 7:30 p.m.
