CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Freighters battled a house fire Thursday night in Chillicothe.
It happened at 104 King Street, which is close to the entrance of Sherman Park Apartments.
Everyone made it out safely and to a nearby family member’s house, according to eyewitnesses. One neighbor told news crews at the scene that she heard “popping and crackling” and looked outside to see flames shooting through the roof. By then, she said everyone had made it safely out of the home.
King Street was closed due to the emergency response of firefighters.
