ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — The Chillicothe Halloween Festival’s Board of Directors is thrilled to announce the commencement of the festival’s Community Grant Program for the year 2023. This initiative aims to provide vital support to non-profit organizations in the Chillicothe area, with a total of $3,500 in funding earmarked for the program.
To qualify for grant funding, organizations must meet specific criteria, including recognition as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization by the Internal Revenue Service, a commitment to serving Ross County residents, and the submission of a complete application along with any relevant supporting documentation. The deadline for application submission is December 4, 2023.
Participating organizations have the opportunity to request funding of up to $1,500, with a strong emphasis on projects designed to enrich the lives of residents within Ross County. The Community Grant Program aligns with the festival’s commitment to giving back to the community.
Gene Betts, President of the Chillicothe Halloween Festival, expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “Following another very successful festival, we’re excited to once again be able to increase funding for our Community Grant Program. Over the past seven years, the festival has continued to grow and bring new activities, vendors, and entertainment to the community. Through this growth of the festival, we’re able to increase the funding of the Community Grant Program to assist more programs and services that enrich the lives of Ross County residents.”
For those interested in applying for the grant, the festival’s website at www.ChillicotheHalloweenFestival.com offers downloadable application forms. Additionally, physical copies are available for pick-up at the Ross-Chillicothe Convention & Visitors Bureau located at 230 N. Plaza Blvd.
Completed applications must be submitted by email to [email protected] or delivered in person to the Visitors Bureau no later than 4:00 pm on December 4, 2022. It’s important to note that late entries will not be considered for funding, so prompt submission is essential for interested organizations.
