ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — This week, the Bainbridge Fire Department received a boost to their safety and service capabilities with the delivery of new equipment valued at nearly $20,000.
Thanks to grant funding, the department was able to acquire essential gear at a minimal cost to taxpayers.
The grant-funded equipment includes:
• 4 Rescue Tech Helmets: These advanced helmets offer enhanced protection for firefighters’ head and neck during rescues and other operations.
• Class 3 Hi-Vis 3 Season Jackets: These high-visibility jackets increase firefighter visibility in both day and night conditions,improving safety on scene.
• 6 Sets of Turnout Gear: This heavy-duty gear protects firefighters from heat,flames, and other hazards encountered during firefighting activities.
• 3 CO Meters: These portable detectors quickly and accurately identify the presence of carbon monoxide, a potentially deadly gas, allowing firefighters to take necessary precautions.
