CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Fox Farm Inn, a historic property on North Bridge Street, has been sold to a new owner, according to the Ross County Auditor’s Office. The sale was finalized on March 7, 2024, for a sum of $1,850,000.
The new owner has formed a Limited Liability Corporation named 1334 N. Bridge Street LLC. However, a search of the Secretary of State’s Office business portal did not reveal the identities of the company’s owners. The mailing address for the LLC is linked to Schiff Properties in Columbus, a company that owns and develops commercial real estate, with a primary focus on office buildings, eateries, and residential developments.
Over the years, the Fox Farm Inn property has housed several businesses, ranging from a restaurant and a jewelry store to, most recently, a car dealership. The building holds a special place in the community, and many residents hope that the new owners will preserve its historic charm and refrain from tearing it down. However, a recently purchased demolition permit from another LLC, also linked to Schiff Properties, Coltown Acquisitions LLC, puts those hopes in peril.
As the Fox Farm Inn embarks on this new chapter, the community eagerly awaits to see what the future holds for this local landmark. Further details will be reported as they become available.
