CLEVELAND, Ohio — A 3-year-old was brutally stabbed to death at an Ohio grocery store, according to police in northern Ohio.
The North Olmsted Police, a suburb of Cleveland, reported that on Monday, around 3 PM, officers were dispatched to the Giant Eagle after a woman and her 3-year-old child were stabbed in the parking lot. The mother, Margot Wood, 38, received only non-life-threatening injuries, however, the toddler was killed.
The suspect was arrested and taken into custody by police. Bionca Ellis, 32, is accused of the deadly stabbing. Police said they interviewed Ellis who stated she did not know the victim, and that it was a random act of extreme violence.
The three-year-old was still in the shopping cart when the attack occurred.
Ellis has been charged with aggravated murder with additional charges pending.
