HOCKING COUNTY, Ohio — The Hocking County Sheriff’s Office has issued a regional alert for a potentially armed and dangerous individual. The man, identified as 31-year-old Chaz Strawser, is currently wanted by the authorities.
Strawser has reportedly made threats to use “suicide by cop” and could potentially be violent. The Hocking County Sheriff’s Office has issued a “stop and hold” order for Strawser, indicating that law enforcement agencies should detain him if located. Strawser, officials said, also has multiple outstanding warrants.
Strawser is described as a white male, 5”11, 210 pounds, brown/reddish hair with a beard, and last seen in the South Bloomingville/Laurelville area.
The public is urged to exercise caution and report any sightings of Strawser to the Hocking County Sheriff’s Office immediately. Authorities have warned that Strawser could be armed and dangerous, and they advise against approaching him.
