CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A Hillsboro man has pleaded guilty to robbing a bank in Ross County.
William Eads, 49, was arrested in April after robbing the Buckeye State Bank located at 101 East Main Street in the village of Bainbridge on April 18, 2024.
Eads reportedly entered the bank and asked the teller for a withdrawal slip. Eads, according to law enforcement, wrote on the slip that he was armed and demanded all the money in the drawer. The teller complied, and Eads fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Eads was arrested a few days later for the robbery.
Court records show that Eads pled guilty to an amended indictment of robbery. He faces 2 to 12 years in prison and up to a $15,000 fine.
Sentencing is scheduled for August 19 at 1:45 PM.
