HOCKING COUNTY, Ohio – The Ohio Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred on Route 278 in Hocking County, north of Nelsonville.
The crash happened around 7:35 p.m. this evening, when a 2002 Ford F-250, driven by 42-year-old Ryan L. Russell of Lancaster, veered left of center, left the roadway, struck a guardrail, and overturned before hitting an embankment.
Russell was transported to Hocking Valley Community Hospital in Logan, where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities are continuing their investigation.
