A stolen vehicle and drugs are at the center of a wrong-way driver that caused a crash in Piketon early Wednesday morning.
According to the Highway Patrol, the crash happened just before 6 a.m. along route 23 near River Road. Troopers said that Michael Spriggs, 43, Waverly, stole a car and was high on drugs when he crossed the median and crashed head-on into another car.
Rodney McKinley, 63, McDermott, was flown to Grant Medical Center in Columbus for non-life threatening injuries, troopers told the Guardian.
Charges are expected to be filed, according to Sergeant Aaron Morgan of the Patrol.
