Pike County Sheriff Charles S. Reader is hosting a food drive later this month to benefit a battered women’s organization.
Sheriff Reader announced the news on Facebook, which is a popular platform for the Pike County local who was first appointed Sheriff in 2015, before winning election in 2016, respectfully.
According to the Facebook event that the Sheriff shared, the drive will be held March 30 and 31, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sheriff’s office along route 23.
“For every non-perishable food item you donate, you will be entered into a drawing to win a raffle item,” the event reads.
All food donated will go towards helping victims who seek the services of the Pike County Partnership Against Domestic Violation organization.
