A person was hit by an SUV on Friday evening at around 6 p.m. in Chillicothe.
It happened on Main Street near Bridge Street when the person was illegally crossing the road outside of a crosswalk.
When medics arrived, the person was on the sidewalk surrounded by passersby and motorists who stopped.
The Jeep involved had severed front-end damage from the impact.
The person hit was not conscious when they were loaded onto the gurney and taken to Adena Medical Center.
No names have been released.
