A Pickaway County man is behind bars on a million dollar bond after his house was raided and he was charged with rape and child pornography charges on Tuesday.
Deputies with the Scioto County Sheriff’s office, Pickaway County Sheriff’s office, Columbus Police, and members of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) raided the home of Michael Grashel, 53, at 2630 Kingston Pike on Tuesday. Grashel has been charged with two counts of rape with the victims being under the age of 13, along with two counts of disseminating matter harmful to a juvenile.
Deputies said they found several images of child pornography when they raided the home on Tuesday. According to Scioto County Sheriff David Thoroughman, the sexual assaults occurred in his county, as well as Pickaway and Franklin counties; the exact dates of the rapes were not released.
Grashel was arrested and booked into jail on his charges.
