CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A local gas station in Chillicothe suffered significant damage after a vehicle crashed into the building on Thursday evening.
The Valero gas station, located on the corner of East Second Street and North Bridge Street, was the scene of the incident; the cause of which remains unclear. Witnesses to the crash have reported that a medical incident may have been the cause, although the Guardian is working to confirm the exact cause.
A video of the aftermath of the crash was shared on social media by a witness, Vyonna Myers. The footage shows multiple officers from the Chillicothe Police Department and firefighters from the city fire department responding to the call. Additionally, a dark-colored pickup truck with heavy front-end damage can be seen next to the gas station, as well as a gaping hole in the side of the building.
