The Pike County Sheriff says one of his deputies seized nearly $100,000 worth of drugs in a traffic stop Wednesday.
According to the Sheriff, someone called in a possible car crash at the intersection of Pine Top and Schmdt Road.
When a Pike County Deputy arrived on the scene and was taking a report on the crash, he say, what he believed to be narcotics, in one of the cars, laying out in the open, according to the Sheriff.
The Sheriff said that the driver of that car, David Timberlake was arrested at the scene and admitted to deputies that he was trafficking heroin. Reader said that the deputies also seized a large amount of Fentanyl.
Timberlake is facing multiple charges, including aggravated trafficking and possession of drugs. Approximately 370 grams of heroin and just under 30 grams of Fentanyl was seized, the Sheriff said, with an estimated street value of $80,000 to $100,000.
