Emergency medical crews and deputies responded to a man who had reportedly overdosed Sunday afternoon.
The call came in shortly before 1:30 p.m. on Sunday near Blain Highway and route 50.
Deputies arrived on scene before medics and administered one dose of Narcan. It was reported the man was breathing but was not responding to the nasal spray.
Once on scene, deputies were told the man took more than 100 pills, 80 of which were Klonopin. Klonopin is a prescription drug from the Benzodiazepine class and is used to treat panic attacks, certain types of seizures, and the short-term relief of the symptoms of anxiety.
As of 2 p.m., the man was being transported to the hospital with his condition unlnown.
The Guardian is not releasing the names of those involved because no one has been criminally charged at this time.
