UPDATE 12:23 AM: 911 lines are being routed to Waverly Police and will be answered, however, the main line for the Sheriff’s office is down. The power company estimates a restoration time of 1:30 AM.

ORIGINAL STORY: A nasty storm barreling through the region caused 9-1-1 lines to temporarily go out in Pike County.

The outage affected the entire county, including the Sheriff’s office and Waverly Police.

The outage started at around 9:10 p.m. and lasted only for a few minutes.

According to the Sheriff, services have been restored, but that they could go down again if the storm causes additional damage.
