The matriarch of an alleged murderous family has had her case dismissed.
The dismissal occurred Wednesday afternoon at a pre-trial hearing in Waverly.
Fredricka Wagner was accused of lying to a grand jury and was charged with perjury and obstruction of justice. Her son, daughter in law, two grandsons, and another woman are accused of murdering and covering up the killing of eight members of the Rhoden family in Pike County in 2016.
Prosecutors were overheard in the hallway by media saying the case was dismissed due to “speedy trial” time being violated.
