The local ice cream shop in Waverly has been burned almost to destruction inside the back of the building.
Dairy Queen, located along Emmitt Avenue, went up in flames overnight in the early morning hours of Friday.
No serious injuries have been reported, but the streets around the building are closed as fire trucks remain on the scene.
It’s unknown at this time what started the fire.
