A massive power outage in northern Fayette County has closed down a nearby truck stop.
The power outage is going down in Jeffersonville and is impacting more than 120 locations. The outage has struck the popular “Flying J” truck stop that sits along route 41, also known as exit 69 along Interstate 71.
The Fire Department was dispatched to the truck stop at around 8:30 p.m. for an unknown call and cleared a short time later. The Fire Department said the power was out and there were no other issues.
Dayton Power and Light said in all, 120 locations are impacted, but that the outage is affecting numerous “hot spots” such as the truck stop, street lights, and even telephones.
