Democratic presidential candidate and former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg campaigned in Chillicothe on Friday.
The billionaire visited with Chillicothe Mayor Luke Feeney, then attended a roundtable discussion on opioids, according to a campaign release.
Chillicothe is Bloomberg’s first to the Buckeye State since entering the race late last month. His primary rival, Elizabeth Warren, previously campaigned in Chillicothe in May. In past presidential elections in recent history, all presidential candidates have campaigned in Chillicothe themselves, or by sending a surrogate.
Chillicothe was the first place that sitting President Bill Clinton visited in 1993 as his first official trip as President to participate in a town hall.
