The Ohio EPA and EMA are on the scene of an oil spill in Ross County.

The spill is near route 23 and Crouse Chapel Road.

The spill is from a 55-gallon drum of oil.

“It is our understanding that a quart of liquid was spilled,” said Anthony Chenault, a spokesperson for the EMA.

The oil is being cleaned up and the drum will be removed, he said.

The spill was called in around 11 a.m. on Tuesday.
