A man drove himself to Adena Regional in Chillicothe Thursday night after accidentally shooting himself. This is the second accidental shooting in the county in 24 hours.
The man pulled up to the hospital at around 11 p.m.
He dialed 9-1-1 to say he was enroute and would be at the emergency room before an ambulance could arrive to help him. Hospital staff said the man was shot twice, in his arm and side.
Adena Regional in Chillicothe was not on lockdown, however, security assessed the situation before they knew what they had.
Deputies were at the hospital, as well. They report the man shot himself accidentally with a 22 caliber.
No other information has been released.
This is the second accidental shooting in Ross County in the last 24 hours. Earlier on Thursday, another man in Chillicothe accidentally shot himself in the hand at Carlisle Crest Apartments.
