An inmate that escaped in Jackson County has been captured.
Britney D. Thompson, 33, escaped from the Jackson County Jail on Saturday.
Thompson was being held on drug charges when she broke free from her shackles and ran out the front door of the Sheriff’s office shortly before 2 p.m.
She was caught Sunday afternoon by marshals.
The Sheriff said she was seen on a security camera on Broadway Street using a store’s telephone. At the time, she was wearing a black sports bra and white and black striped jail issued pants.
