The Sheriff of Fayette County has confirmed that three search warrants were executed in Fayette County Thursday evening.

Numerous locals in the area reported seeing large SWAT-like vehicles, unmarked police cars, and men in tactical gear traveling through Jefferson Township near route 729.

It all went down in the late-afternoon and early-evening.

Sheriff Vernon P. Stanforth confirmed to the Guardian that three warrants were executed.

The search warrants were the result of an investigation being conducted by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, Chillicothe Police Department, and the Wilmington Police Department.
The warrants resulted in the confiscation of over 20 pounds of marijuana, numerous THC consumables, suspected hashish, firearms, and over $7000.00 dollars in U.S. currency. Several items used in the production of marijuana and derivatives were also confiscated.
Suspects have been identified related to this investigation, however their names are not being released at this time as charges are pending in this case.

The Guardian has learned that at least two warrants were served on homes on High Street.

Deputies were seen carrying out florescent lights, portable humidifiers, reflective panels, and metal exhaust piping, among home furnishings.

This is a breaking story. Keep refreshing for the latest.
