An inmate hanged himself in the Ross County Jail on Friday. It happened at around 3:30 p.m.
While details are limited, the Guardian has learned that the inmate was found hanging by other inmates and corrections officers. An ambulance was called to the law enforcement complex and the man was rushed to Adena Regional Medical Center. His current condition has not been released.
This is the third inmate suicide-related incident in the Ross County Jail this year.
The inmate’s name has not been released.
